The grass is always greener on the other side.
Tho what bothers me is that GCC hiring wave made MBBs and the likes feel highly accessible. BCG & Strategy& alone were hiring half of the AUB and insead classes. In most other geographies, these roles go to the top few percent of the very top few schools.
Not that I highly value the nature / impact of the job. But seeing those entitled pricks pisses me off.
This happened some in US too, they overhired in US post covid and greatly diluted brands and value. Now the signal of having worked at these firms is greatly diminished.
+ toxic ways of working and unsustainable client worshipping leading to exceptionally bad work life balance

Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion- nowhere in saying that what we do is the most important job- all I’m saying is there there are some big, and unique upsides that we lose sight of. Honestly, just trying to see the silver lining here :)
