If you're lucky, you only get about 8 weeks of 60-70 hours, if you're not lucky, you'll get put on a new client every quarter and you'll do busy season at least once a quarter. Idk how that compares to tax, but busy season is dumb. Go advisory and never work over 45 hours/week

First Monday I’d January through the end of march is probably 65 average. Some will be 50 some will be 70. Your billables in tax vs audit will probably be comparable but in audit you’ll knock it all out in one big sprint whereas tax you get two busy seasons. Quarters are usually 10-14 days at a rate of ~55 a week depending on if it’s a routine quarter or there was a transaction etc
