Thinking seriously about going the fractional route like CFO-for-hire, accounting consultant, ops fixer. I’ve got 10+ years of experience and a decent network, and honestly, I’m tired of building someone else’s house. But the leap feels risky. I don’t know where to start: do I just update my LinkedIn and hope people bite? Anyone here leave traditional accounting and actually build a successful solo career? What made the difference when you launched?

I haven’t done it myself but where I’ve seen people do it they generally start slowly on the side while still working their regular job. This obviously means you can’t blast it on LinkedIn right away but instead have to be more targeted in your outreach. Once they have a couple of clients onboard and see it’s feasible they then make the leap

I have two offers in hand. KPMG and Deloitte. CTC is almost same whereas variable is more in KPMG. I am inclined towards Deloitte India. But HR in KPMG told me that I won't be able to join KPMG India in future as I accepted their offer. I informed her within 2 weeks and didn't do anything for onboarding. I didn't ask to increase the amount or JB and I strongly believe I informed early so they can look for other candidates. Is this bluff? Any HR here to clarify
