This industry is baffling sometimes. I’m estimating a 5% response when I apply or cold reach out to ECD/CD’s and recruiters. If I have at least one interview then I get an offer about 75% of the time. Does this mean I interview well or they’ve basically decided before even talking to me? I’m lucky to have good connections and a strong resume but it’s not WK level nor do I have awards.

Why are there so many job postings that I have applied for but nothing happening? Are the jobs that are posted truly open? I know we are in 4th quarter and wasn’t sure if corporation’s like to hire then?

Does anyone else feel like people who are generally nice in person and on calls sound mean or stand-offish in emails and text/chat? I get that over-use of friendliness in text can come off as green/immature, but I tend to try and cushion my words with positivity or even exclamation marks/the occasional emoji to show that I don't sound completely unemotional.
