Google is on a hiring freeze. If that’s the case, then I am confused how come people on LinkedIn keeps saying they just got hurried by Google.
Can someone from Google tell us if it’s an hiring freeze or just a way to get us from applying right now. I am very lost if I should apply or stop.
I had an online assessment round at Intuit and then a technical round. Both went good. But its been 15 days I am yet to hear back from them. Does intuit send closure/rejection email or is it just implicit? also what is the cooling period for intuit ? and what should be the expected ctc if things go right? I’m with them now for 3 months and I never felt as psychologically safe as I feel now — our Head of Talent is incredible, so as our leadership team as a whole. We have a true collaborative culture, and I am learning a lot with them. If you have any questions, feel free to DM or email me at laura@laskie.com :)
I know that some companies do slow hiring during the fourth quarter. With inflation, the dow, and impending recession/current recession where it is, I wouldn't be surprised if hiring is just slowing in general. I wouldn't give up though, every company won't stop hiring, and there are definitely still jobs out there.
Could be lots of reasons. I'd probably start by making sure your resume is up to par. You can either share it here for feedback, or you can hire an expert (check Fiverr or upwork) to optimize it for you. If you're sending out lots of applications but not getting any call backs, chances are it's a problem with your resume that can be fixed. Good luck!
I actually have a career coach who is a professional résumé writer update my résumé
Yes, totally agree with R2. You should make your own resume. Recruiters can easily tell if it is written by a resume writer.
Have you tried checking your resume? You need to make sure that the qualifications you possess fits the position that you applied for.
Of course
One of the reasons is that the competition is really really tough. A lot of appicants are lining for a single role.
