Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

There’s definitely some solid advice in here, especially around being intentional with applications and networking.
I think where a lot of people get stuck (and I’ve experienced this myself) is that these strategies don’t always produce consistent results in the current market, even when you’re doing them ‘right.’
What’s helped me is focusing less on doing everything and more on doing a few things really strategically—like targeting specific roles, understanding how I’m being positioned, and being more deliberate about outreach instead of just volume.
Curious—what parts of this process have actually been working for people here vs. what hasn’t?

Last piece. I have a strong baseline resume, then 3 or 4 other versions that maybe focus around product, program, data, and AI. Tailoring resumes is a waste of time for most scenarios. Only do it for those dream roles. I know that ex-googler, ex-META recruiter told you something different.
Anyways. good luck. I'm pulling for you.
1. Application window. Get LinkedIn Premium. I only apply to jobs that have had under 100 applicants. Ideally, 50 or less I'll get to how to find those roles shortly. Reasoning? Not every ATS system filters out, some still do it the old school way where a resume looks scanned by a recruiter. Get in fast. Apply to jobs that have been released in the last 24 hours.
6. Volume. I apply to 10-15 jobs a weekday. Every weekday, I do it first thing in the morning around 6am to capture the ones that got released overnight, and then around 3PM to catch any around lunch. If you piddling around applying to 3 jobs a day then yeah...
Also. I despise the Open to Work on LinkedIn. It's a Scarlett letter.
I know of lady who was unemployed as Project Manager for 8 months UNTIL she put Open To Work.
Though the reason might be special to her....Her classmate from highschool noticed her Open To Work and reached out. She got the job.
2. Extensions. Simply Copilot extension is great. I pay for the premium. It autopopulates your workday applications (in addition to Greenhouse). it's not perfect, but it works. It will fill out the job, description, even your ethnic info, etc. Also I use uBlock Origin Lite, with the right filters it will filter out those "Promoted" jobs that always show up first.
That's what I meant. Simplify.Jobs. Thank you.
3. Search queries. This has taken me MONTHS of trail and error, but I finally figured it out. I was looking for roles in product, program, or transformation at Senior Manager or Above level. Atlanta but I left it at US level as LinkedIn still doesn't filter these perfectly. Here's an example of a query I put in the search field. Then I switch to classic job search, add the 24 hour filter. Viola.
Senior Manager OR Sr Manager OR Director OR Vice President OR VP OR Head of OR Principal AND (product management OR program management OR product operations OR product delivery OR PMO OR transformation OR portfolio)

There is only a "under 10 applicant option". Generally I filter to 24 hours and manually scan applicant count.
Any advice on 1 page resume vs 2 pages? With 7 years of work experience I feel like it’s hard to fit all the job requirements in 1 page to pass the ATS screener

$40 a month for LinkedIn Premium. $20 a month for Claude, for light tweaks. and $90 for 3 months of Simplify, but it's free also.

Yes, every professionals have had to pivot from our main job(s). For example, I went from a full stack programmer working at Blizzard Irvine but half of my team got “laid off” after the Microsoft acquisition so I went into Security. Network Security. Because many younger kids would program for lower pay.
