I’d also look at floating more of the real world work to the top of your order. Just my opinion but while the Waze thing is cool it also strikes me as super unrealistic and the video comes off as student-y. Not sure why your Nick Jonas video is way after that, for instance - it’s not a big splashy campaign but it’s a fun piece of real world work.
Random note- you spelled Philadelphia wrong for the bug museum lol
Oh no great catch!
Really nice logo. That’s why I clicked in the first place.
Site design wise your header is HUGE on my screen. Taking up almost 1/3 of my 15” MacBook . I’d reduce the padding of your header a fair bit, also look into maybe putting your name/ tile to the right of the letter mark to save space.
Not sure why but I’m gettin a duplicate menu of your work in the footer of the landing page.
The padding on the actual content pages is pretty huge too and is reducing the size (and therefore visual impact) of your videos and print ads. Remember that squarespace will scale these items down on a smaller screen but never higher than what your set the initial padding at. Typeface on project titles and descriptions are pretty tiny too.
Thanks, I’ll def take that into consideration!
Hey - wanted to critique your bio as people tend to glaze over them and I think they are the first thing I read when I look at people starting out. Generally speaking I’m trying to determine if they are people I will want to be around at 2am on set or before a meeting. I think your bio is a decent crack at what people sort of try as students but my advice is that it comes across as a little contrived and try-hard. Like, you’re digging for a lot of “sage wisdom” out of the fact you like motocross. I don’t really buy it. I’d come back at that just trying to be plainspoken and real. Tell me what you’re excited to do in the industry, what gets you stoked. Seem eager. People don’t want juniors who are wise for their years, they want eager, hardworking, hungry folks. The fail thing is endearing, but Dan Wieden beat you to it.
