I pay 16/hr for one kid, started off lower but have given a raise. I feel like I pay on the low end for what I’ve heard about others paying in my area. Taxes are a nightmare and I’ve done them myself. Need to pay monthly both federal and state and file quarterly.

When I was in Chicago 3 years ago I paid 12/ hour for a full-time nanny for twins. I kept a spreadsheet that an accountant made for me that tracked everything I paid and I paid an annual lump sum for taxes. Taxes are super confusing.
My kids are older now so no nanny anymore. But I used to pay $16/hr for three kids. Taxes were really confusing. I think we had to pay quarterly? Or semi annually? Had an accountant help us set that up.
$18/hr for 3.

$16 per hour for 2 kids and did payroll through Care.com so they did the taxes for us as a part of the system.
I have in the past employed nannies and paid taxes. My husband and I figured out the tax worksheets that applied and paid quarterly.
