The verdict was just. She was charged with exactly what she did. She murdered that man. I often think about how the people who thought she deserved to get charged with manslaughter would have felt if this was done to their son, husbands, or fathers. An innocent life was taken, regardless if it was intentional or a “mistake” 🙄.

I don't think we may ever know, but at the same time what could have been a mistake took someone's life, and for that she should do some time alone.

Agree. My husband thinks that she should’ve gotten manslaughter not murder. I don’t know. Part of me thinks that it could’ve been a mistake but her behavior that night just doesn’t sit right.

Has anyone dealt with stuffing allocation in a non-hedge fund context? It seems even in the HF world the law is fuzzy in using aggregate reverse 704c principles in stuffing allocations. Like, sure, the market is there but no authority really blessed it (other than some Cravath partner’s article in Tax Notes in 2013). If we are talking asset class that isn’t really like marketable securities but might be able to treat it similarly solely by virtue of, say, valuation on a quarterly basis (contd)
