Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? I’ve been proposed an exit as Product Owner at a real company, not a consulting one. Staff seems nice, good culture, good salary (less than consulting but well), BUT I would have to move countries for that job and start a new life.

I’ve also been proposed a Manager position at a consulting company in my home city, with potential of bigger salary thanks to bonuses. Culture seems good... But I’m sure it’s gonna be a hell lot of work.

Which one would you take? Should I exit and never look back?

Any advice on landing a strat & ops role in a tech firm? The JD is my dream role, but these opportunities are few and far between, and yet I keep getting rejections even at the CV stage. Currently in a DD shop, so could be a fit issue (but I can’t pivot…)
