I think I may have made a huge mistake today. My skip level director sent out an email about something and asked us for feedback. I sent back a note and provided some. I judge the company I work every time they misspell my name even though I’ve corrected it over and over again. It tells me they don’t care and don’t want to make the effort. It’s in my email, my email signature, on my profile, etc. How hard is it to look it up and spell it correctly?!

Started a new job as GC to two companies. I met my teams on-site wearing Jordans and my nicest t-shirts and I’ve been on all my calls wearing a hat with my fingernails painted (my daughters love going to get manicures together). I’m sure it’s easier for a white guy to get away with this sort of thing, but it does feel like it’s a lot easier to be a lawyer and still be yourself than it used to be (although I’ve been in-house gang since I graduated, so I never had firm life to compare it to).
