Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

Lawyer and in private equity. Was in-house and then went to a firm and then out again.
Sure
You are in IB? Are you a VP? This seems quite high for an associate and you have way too much experience to be an associate lol
They are an associate their title say that. I think the bonuses are making the total comp higher every year depending on their performance. But they do not see all of it due to taxes.
What changed that you went from 125 to 300?
They receive bonuses depending on their performance. The better you perform the higher your bonuses are every year.
Yeah I don’t believe this lol
650k is nothing I make way more than that a year. I am a Managing Director of Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs in San Francisco, California. I have a AB in Economics with Summa Cum Laude Honors, MBA with Summa Cum Laude Honors, and JD with Summa Cum Laude Honors from Harvard University. I received all my degrees at 24 years old because I graduated high school at 16 years old. I am a minority (African-American and Moroccan Male) and look more Moroccan. I have been MD for three years now and was promoted to MD at 26 years old. I just turned 30 years old. I am a revenue-producing individual and have the ability to create complex strategies for deals so that is why i made MD at 26 and will be promoted to partner when they make the announcement of the next partners at Goldman Sachs and will be making much more. I currently make 850k a year as a MD of Investment Banking. The partner status at Goldman Sachs comes with a 950k salary, access to private investment opportunities, and a cut of profits from Goldman's investment funds.
Associate No!!! This this conversation is about salary and I was talking about my salary with others on here and Associate 3 had to make a comment that their bosses make 10M a year. Also Associate 3 has to understand that you have to be partner or senior partner in Big Law to make 10M or more which can take years to even make it to the partner level and most never make it to partner level at all. I was telling Associate 3 that no amount of money fazes me because i come from a very wealthy family so 10M is like 10 dollars to me. You are the one who posted your different salaries for each year and started the bragging not me.
Possible at MBB given promos.
Undergrads now make 110k, before was less.
Promos every 2 years or less.
At bcg I think it was ( no longer there so don’t remember exactly)
110k for 2 years as Associates
250 for 2 years as consultants
350 for 2 years as project leaders
450 for 2 years as principals
600 for 2 years as non equity partners
Etc
I’m also rounding and bonuses can be higher and promos can happen sooner.
Cs did not make 250 a year back then no way. Closer to 160, maybe 200 with Bonuses if V lucky.
Yeah but do you have a boat tho? 😆
And are you single 🥹
