During the pandemic I dove into my self care (found a therapist, learned I was having seizures and got on meds for that). My journey has been difficult and not pretty to watch. 30th birthday present watch accessory ideas.

A lot of knowledge on here so asking for some help. It’s my partner’s birthday and I’ve no idea what to buy him. He’s a watch fanatic - Pateks (sports and dress), Audemars (sports and dress), Rolex (sports), Omega (sports).

I’m obviously not buying him a watch for his birthday (in his dreams!) but any idea for some good accessories? He’s already got a PP watch winder, and has bought multiple nice straps for the dress watches. I’m completely lost.

Having a son (first) next year and looking for a birth year watch to hand down. Obvious thought would be a sub but open to other ideas - ideally want something that is classic and will keep its value. Would wear myself. Would rather have my name (or his) on the registration if possible. Any tips/ideas? Is it impossible to get a new sub in a year’s time?

Why would a luxury watch brand make/sell connected or smart watches? What is the business reason for it? To me it just kills the brand value. For instance I was a big fan of Montblanc but after I see their smart watch line up I instantly devalued the brand in general. Same for Tag (tag is questionable anyways), or Breitling. What is your opinion on this topic?

Shot in the dark since it’s an expensive, niche, and quartz watch… but does anyone have a Breitling Emergency?
