Trying to leave 33 years of retail management. I want to try something new. It still could be sales job, but I want to work growing my salary by forward thinking, Intensive drive to advance myself, and making a difference in a companies successful future endeavors and profitability. 50,000 to 75,000 would be a good stating salary. Look forward to future communication with potential employers.

You must live someplace where the COL is extremely low...... by comparison, I make around 300% of that, and I feel the squeeze. You could shoot for Walmart. Regional managers are making $3-500k/year + bonuses and stock options and can come out to around $6-800k/year total...

A nice move to growth. Hope you're getting ready for the next opportunity by updating your resume.

Good luck 🤞

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Does anyone who switched from consulting to product management have any recommendations of h helpful PM books, courses, or programs?

They mentioned if I were to be offered, expectation is I'd move to the US. I find this odd as the role is Remote but guess it's legal purposes. Good thing is, this comp also has a Canandian office BUT they said bringing me on through the Canadian office is not smth they do.

Is this reasonable?? How can i best negotiate? Thx!

I started QA at the company I am currently at 3 years ago. Long story short, within 4 months at the company, I was able to make a career change and step into a PM position. Without having the formal education or PM experience, only my 5 years in QA experience. When I started I made $65k and have jumped to $78k. I have seen other companies post $100k+. Annual review is tomorrow. Should I fight for more or look for more somewhere else if I lose that fight?

Hi everybody.
Right now I’m working as a junior product engineer in Amsterdam. From januari on I’ll be a medior product engineer. And now I’m in the middle of negotiating about my salary increase. The salary that I’m being offered feels low (41.5k).
Is there an other product engineer that could tell me if my gut feeling is right or not? Thanks in advance!

Hi! Recently discussed an associate graphic designer role with a recruiter. Is it reasonable to expect an 85k base in NYC? Am I underselling myself? They started with it being a 75-80k budgeted position. What are typical base salaries for someone with 4.5 ttl YOE? Does it matter that 3 YOE was in an adjacent industry?

I renegotiated my start date and it’s different from the date I signed on the offer letter. Do I need to request a revised offer letter or is the email thread with the recruiter sufficient. By the way, my background check is already in progress.
