I was thinking about buying a laptop. My cousin works at Amazon and she mentioned she could get me a MAC for really discounted prices. There are refurbished company laptops.

Just wanted to ask if anyone here has done this. And how has there experience been?

Not sure about getting them from company but I went with a friend to a market in Delhi where they do sell corporate used laptops at really affordable prices and my friend bought one. If you are ok with a second hand one , it seems to be a good option.

corporate laptops are worst abused...are used generally for 14 hours daily everything has certain life, one can agree they have better fault tolerance but still at EOD it's electronics.

Colleague has put in his resignation. They are offering him whatever he wants to stay including 4days a week work from home. He’s not bluffing and plans to leave. However, at this same time I was asked to begin working as a supervisor for the engineering team and I would get a promotion at the beginning of the year. I have been supervising and managing our team of 6 for months with no extra pay or bonuses. I was told yesterday that raises will be light this year. Yet today they spare nothing.

I think all accentute team gone mad or atleast my contact person. Its my first switch and with small luck i got my fitst offer from accenture with 49% hike whick is not fine by me but had to accept it as i was not getting any call then. After putting my papers i got 3 more offers similar pay.last week my accen hr discussed with me that she will revise offer and i said i will need time as she was offering me less fixed and more JB . Now she release offer with less that what mentioned in call.
