Thanks much - I’m already in transaction services specifically valuations. Don’t want to pursue this as a career track though. Already have a masters in finance so not too keen on going the MBA route.

Similar shoes as you OP. Exits are- other valuation services in Big 4 or smaller shops like SRR. I’ve had multiple recruiters reach out to me financial analyst roles, corporate FP&A and valuation roles within PE. Sadly no banking or corporations development. I think those require a certain amount of networking and initiative on your part to get through

Just to add some words for encouragement, I do know people who made it to banking at RBS and to equity research at Jeffries. Best of luck !

It’s difficult to get in to those roles from audit unless you do some solid networking. The best way is to switch to FDD for a couple years and you are much more marketable for those areas after

Oh my bad I see now. I think you just have to focus on networking and selling yourself. The opportunity from valuations is there it is just difficult I’ve heard

Have seen many people jump from val to banking and in a few cases direct to PE front office roles at lower middle market shops. Recruiters won’t ping you about these types of roles, you need to go find them for yourself

Hi everyone,
So I had my NIPT and NT scans last week and I’ve been getting pieces of the results back from my doctor in the patient portal. All seems okay but I’m a bit confused. Does anyone know if FirstScreen is the same thing as NIPT? I was under the impression that NIPT was in 90th percent of certainty for Down syndrome but the result we got, labeled FirstScreen indicate 83% certainty so I’m confused if there are more results coming? I messaged the doctor but haven’t heard back yet.
