What company do you like more?
What industry do you like more, credit or e-commerce?
What are your long term career aspirations?
Congrats!!
If you’re really worried about returns, Amazon is probably not the place to go, last year they did not give anyone return offers until after the summer ended and they were a couple of months into school bc they were still figuring out headcount needs. Even after they starting giving out return offers, rates were much lower. (But this isn’t unique to Amazon, a lot of tech did the same - though Amazon is known to be more intense / cutthroat)
Visa will probably be more stable but less sexy (although Payments is also a hot sector)
What would you be doing at either? What specifically would you be doing at Visa Finance? Is Corporate development? FP&A?
My experience is in finance consulting, and I love innovations within the space. My goal for ‘loooong’ term is to start a business of my own or join one as a founder and looking for entrepreneurial experience, which Amazon seem to provide. Most likely FP&A or Business Finance for both. None is confirmed yet.
TC is not my focus here as I’m okay with either. Plus I don’t know if the ‘competitive’ environment is one I want to experience again🥹
