OP, I would check with the attorney before submitting the two week notice to your current employer. I remember having got stuck in a similar situation where I was switching jobs and resigned based on the receipt of my H1B application from USCIS. But the recruitment told me that I cannot join EY until my applications has been completely been approved by the USCIS. So basically I made the mistake of resigning before the approval notice and then was notable to start at my new job because I hadn't got the approval for my application yet. As luck would have it, right after I resigned, the premium processing was suspended temporarily and I had to wait for 2 months before I could start at my new job. So please, please, before you submit your resignation, consult with the recruitment team at your new job!
ASAP. Premium processing has been stopped for six months, so it typically takes at least two to three months without pp. make sure you are covered in terms of keeping your current role, if the new employer isn't prepared to wait, and consult an attorney.
Again, check with a reputable attorney.
I thought you can start working once they receive a receipt notice from USCIS, which takes around 2-3 weeks?
Fair fair
Thanks!!

What EY1 said is absolutely spot on. The one case I know , had started working with his new firm. The transfer went through multiple RFE and then the transfer was rejected. He had to return home immediately. EY1 for sake of OP and the one follower, could you stay in the U.S. for the two months?
