MBA recruiting has been down since 2022/2023, unfortunately.

It’s still a completely viable path, but the days of having 3-4 solid offers are over until everyone stops being so hyper-focused on cutting costs.

If you get an offer - even if it isn’t your dream job - take it.

Agreed with A1. There’s three articles of similar nature this week, all they’re saying is that it’s not a golden ticket. A top MBA isn’t immune to the issues in the job market.

In any top school it is still high 80% that are employed in 3 months. It’s also difficult to measure how entrepreneurship plays into that.

If it was right for you before, it likely still is. Work hard and stay humble and you’ll be fine.

Let's vote! Which startup type is most likely to have a dysfunctional or toxic work culture:

Helpful: Single founder bootstrapped startups
Smart: Single founder funded startups
Uplifting: Multiple founder bootstrapped startups
Funny: This poll is dumb.

Comment if you would have selected multiple founder funded startups!

Boutique or big 4?

I'm currently an ops manager at a big 4 in London and received an offer from a small boutique firm with 25-30% pay rise.

I'm also in the process with Accenture but I feel like I'm not sure if I'd jump just for the money but also change in environment.
What type of things would you be asking yourself if you were in my shoes and debating to jump ship?

Incoming MBA, I have my tuition paid for and rent covered (I will be an RA). So the only thing I need to pay for is food and entertainment. Do you think 20k is enough to last me through the 2 years? I will make a little money interning in the summer, so that would be a safety valve if I blow through the 20k.

Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me?
