Follow up once after a week, then it's mentally time to move on. Chasing people who won't respond is a waste of energy. If they want you, you'll know. It's kind of like online dating in that regard.

Thats a great way of looking at it. No point giving them a ymore time of the day if they're not giving it to me!

Follow up after a week. A polite check in doesn’t annoy good managers, silence does. If they’re bothered by a professional follow up, that tells you what working there would feel like.

Absolutely a check in email can't do any damage surely and if it does well as you say it's not worth it.
You’re actually hearing back from interviews? I feel like I just keep getting ghosted. I’ve been following up consistently—I think it shows initiative to check in after an interview.

Oh no well I hope you start hearing back soon maybe you should do some check ins too see if it helps us!?

Always follow up after an interview. Send an email 48 hours later expressing your continued interest. If you don’t hear back within a week, reach out via email or by phone. If you still don’t hear a response after that, I’d wait another week and then assume that if I don’t get an answer by then, that they are not interested.
