Yeah, was wondering it too, if Consultant 1 was from ZS...it seems the comment is hinting, hire and fire, if you can't prove your worth(which is ok, in my opinion!)
But never heard of firing from ZS. They squeeze you so much in interviews, rarely a non-deserving one gets in. At least, that's what I have heard.
PS - I was grilled in 6 interview rounds, myself : D
If your performance is not up to the mark, you are provided with enough opportunities and guidance to improve. If that doesn't work, only then ZS terminates the employment.
They have an up or out policy. Either your performance excels or you’re out.
Are you from ZS?
I disagree with C1. There isn't an up or out culture at all. Rather tenure plays an important role in most promotions. It is unlikely you will be promoted unless you are of a specific tenure.
Company culture is great that's one of the main reasons people stick around. Firm treats its employees well and fairly.
