Currently a medical assistant and considering the PA route. Living in Canada where the PA profession is relatively new (not as many specialities for PAs as the US, and salary is lower). I’m nervous about future burn out and unfavourable working hours - any advice?

I recently did a job interview and I made it clear to the HR my expectation salary is 60k a year, non negotiable.
Today I got the job offer and they are offering me 54k. My current company is making me 50k with tons of benefits which is why I am asking for 60k.

Hi all, I am a structural engineer looking to pivot to management consulting. I have a PhD in civil engineering and am a licensed PE. Currently I am not finding my profession fulfilling due to many barriers for progress. I have a strong statistics background and am looking to switch to a fast paced career in management consulting. I'm a PA in the PNW working for a private group staffing ED's in several hospitals. Recently the group has asked the PA's to take on a couple new roles (triaging and rapid track from triage i.e. straightforward ESI 4, 5). With these changes the PA's are considering asking for increased pay in the form of an addition of a COLA (cost of living adjustment) to our normal salary. Was wondering if any other PA's in the ED have these in their contracts and at what rate.
