We are predominantly white still but making strides to improve here. What’s the best way to approach? Kids have a prepaid college plan for certain schools. Emergency fund is solid. Where should I look to start investing? Currently going through some negations on an internal role. I’m currently at 88k and they offered me 100k for a position that requires a lot more work. Do you guys think it’s easier to land a higher salary when applying externally rather than internally? Also this is for a territory sales management role. They stated 120k+ is extremely high for that role. What do you guys think? Playing the game?

I was at a conference for PLC 2.0 this summer, some great speakers and ideas. Graduate credit was available also through Midwest Teachers Institute, and they were really affordable.

I just came back from a UIL academics conference. It always makes my head spin. So much packed into two days! Loved it but wow! Best part: seeing college professors who really care about the subjects!

I just signed up for a class that lets me write my own objectives and goals, work on them all summer, log my hours and share my successes and I get ACT48 hours and graduate credits! I can’t believe it- I figure I was going to do the work anyway- so why not get something out of it… first time I’ve been excited about doing work over the summer! 🎉
