I just came back from India in the first week of oct. I went for stamping and it was pretty smooth. It’s all about having the right documents, talking clearly and confidence I guess. But definitely should listen to the experts.
-Most cases takin 6-8 months (transfers, extensions, amendments, etc. )
- Huge spike in Admin processing (221g) n being asked documents from start of ur tenure in US (almost a decade back in some cases)
- H4 EAD no ruling yet, they’ll showcase the rules, Comments n lawsuits etc, it will take a while before it goes away.
Caution : Avoid India travels for now at all costs, or be prepared to stay longer in case things don’t work out.
I dont think they said avoid india travel in the webcast. They mentioned you might get stuck in admin processing
Yes.
Avoid India travel if you need stamping done
can we get a recap M1? was out sick.
M1 and M2 sorry why avoid India travel? Do you mean risk of delay or of not making it back at all?
Thanks EY3. That makes sense
Agree with ey3. I don't think they talked about not going to India.
However I think should avoid Visa stamping during holidays season as if stuck in admin it might take when longer
Had my h1 interview in the 1st week of October. Super smooth, just basic questions around salary and designation. Nothing too crazy, and no interrogation at port of entry as well.
Higher rate of 221g in Chennai consulate. Nothing mentioned about not traveling for visa stamping.
Looks like a lot of EY employees here. EY is the only saving grace for us mba community since it sponsors international applicants within the Big 4 management consulting firms
I wanted to get an idea of the kind of projects EY does in Transaction Advisory practice . Is there anyone from that group who can give me a deeper idea ?
