Ways to kill time in the summer break at a UK University ?
So Im currently on my summer break after my spring semester at a UK university and I have way too much free time on my hands than I would like in a day . Any suggestions on how I can make my day more productive during the summer break ? I do have a volunteering opportunity lined up but Im yet to start that .

I have $40K in bank, but I’m not sure what my max investment should be or will be approved for. Would it be feasible to keep renting and also try to rent out a purchased rental property given my liquid cash?

I just started a new job 2 months ago, benefits and PTO don’t start until 90 days in so I still have a month before I can take off any time, and today found out my company doesn’t offer paid maternity leave.

I had a technical discussion for HCL on 3rd Oct. It's been more than a week. I still haven't received a status on that interview. I have also received a "Resume shortlisted" mail from their careers app after a week.
Does it mean I'm selected? There's no intimation of the status at all. The HR don't reply on mails/calls.
