What is your best classroom management trick?
Hi All! I hope you guys are staying safe and healthy.
I am hosting a free workshop for teachers that I thought might benefit you. The workshop is called From Unsettled to Prepared Classroom. I am giving you the tools you need to feel organized and ready for this upcoming school year. There is so much that is still uncertain and it can be super daunting to start to plan for a year like this one.

Hello! I am looking for two new Texas teachers (0-5 years) who would be interested in participating in a study I am doing as a Doctoral Candidate at Baylor. The study looks to understand the experiences women working in the field of education have had that triggered shame and explore their resilience. If you are interested, click the link below to get started: bit.ly/ShameResilienceStudy

I am a RTI Math Teacher for grades 3-5 . Has anyone used Triumphlearning’s Common Core Clinics series? They are a set of short workbooks - one for each domain. You can mix and match grade levels for differentiation purposes. School Specialty promotes them. https://eps.schoolspecialty.com/products/math/common-core-clinics-mathematics/about-the-program. I am thinking of purchasing them for September.
Who in this group does groups with Eureka Math?
Saw this on Twitter. Just sharing!

Decorating: whatever is popular on YouTube and TikTok at the moment seems to be all 6th graders care about : )
I think ideas for actually teaching the material is personal to the student and teacher, but I try to mix it up to appeal to all learning styles
I think it’s a great idea to create anchor charts as you teach math concepts and post them for reference. It’s also a good way to review material from previous grades before you tackle grade level information.
I use the Eureka Math curriculum and have “adjusted” it to fit my personal teaching style. I use Edulastic for all of my assessments and then throw in other class work using Quizizz and Blooket for more engagement.
Make your posted Math Facts charts look like TikTok videos (frame them out and put chat bubbles and some random character that say you can use over and over with different expressions on their face.) The kids will act like they hate it but they will secretly love it. I taught the Pythagorean Theorem and one of it's real world application using "The Dab" the kids all rolled their eyes. When I finished teaching it and we tried it, suddenly they all wanted to measure themselves doing it and find that C 😂
