We had a few groups come in already pretty drunk and the place turned into chaos fast. Stuff knocked over, people being loud, just zero awareness of anyone else around them. I get wanting to have fun, but why do some people lose all common sense once alcohol is involved? Do drunk people really not realize how they act in public?

No. No they do not. They think everything they're doing is hilarious, when really it's juvenile and annoying to everyone around. I had to kick a few drunks out when I was working in a restaurant. Never enjoyed doing it, but the alternative was allowing them to keep disrupting guests and potentially putting our liquor license at risk, so it had to be done.

I really, really hate drunk people. If people can't control their own behavior when they're drinking, then probably they shouldn't be drinking so much. There is no need for everyone else to deal with the consequences of their drinking. One of my managers is way too tolerant of it, but my other manager kicks people like that out immediately. I love her.

It’s wild how fast things can shift once alcohol is involved. Some people really do lose their sense of awareness and don’t realize how loud or disruptive they’re being. In the moment it feels normal to them, but everyone around them definitely notices. Retail and hospitality see that side of it a lot.

They do realize how obnoxious a drunk person can be, but perhaps not when they are drunk themselves. They really should consider others with their behavior, but everyone can’t be self aware, mature and considerate (especially if they can’t control their urge to over-consume alcohol)

Any ideas on planning a quarterly retreat for a startup? Specifically for strategy day and culture. Never planned a quarterly retreat before and is not to sure what it entails. I’ve been told agendas for retreats are very subjective to company but would like some general ideas if anyone has any!

Hi can you suggest , JP Morgan or TIAA ( both mumbai) which is better? In terms work culture/ work life balance and employee growth.

I will be getting their offers next week. Not sure which to choose. Jp is giving ,21 lpa, yet to negotiate with TIAA. Yoe- 5.9.
Also how much i can expect fix from TIAA?

I strongly believe new hire onboarding should not sit in the HR/People Operations space but should sit in the HR Coordinator/HR Generalist space. As a new hire, they should be able to have a confirmed point of contact especially during their first 90 days and People Ops should not be that point of contact unless there’s system or access issues.

Hey fishes, urgent help....

I was forcefully released from HCL services saying my BGV is not clear and was released the very same day. Now I am being asked to pay for basic salary of 89 days notice period +18% GST.. WHAT TO DO PLEASE HELP. I am being asked to pay 1,65,000/- and I was forced to leave HCL in 22 days.

Since 6 months I am mailing them asking for clearance but they didn't gave, now HR has also left the company, Please help what to do ..
