I don’t care how nice the office is, I’m not going in. Working remotely is the only perk I need (and good pto).
I have a bar at home. Also whatever food I want, whatever chair I want, the music I want, the clothing I want... No office environment is going to be better than how comfortable and productive I am at home.
Wow I wish I worked at a company that had a rooftop bar, that would be such a cool perk. I would definitely say that envionment does make a big difference when it comes to productivity.
Petty office politics, fear of downsizing by overzealous executives, and a Board of Directors that only cares about maximizing profits like the Grand Negus himself.
I worked for a company that had a nice self-service kitchen area. I liked it for the drinks they had in the fridge, you could find all kinds of soda and juices. And there were tons of snacks. It was kind of what you dreamed about when you're 12 years old. And, you guessed it, the management did have the mentality of 12 year old boys. Funny how that clue was just sitting out in the open the whole time.
