We only get 1 wage increase per year, no chances of OT, and no commission. This year management boasted that they did a complete overhaul of our pay grid to ensure they offer competitive wages to increase employee retention. I just got my wage increase and it was $0.70/hr before taxes. I am a licensed level 2 with 8 years of experience.. do I bother to broach the topic or just look for another job?

You might as well start looking for another job. The only way to really get a pay bump these days is to move on. There's a scenario that always plays out, new arrivals to a company get paid better than people who have been there for a while. It's how organizations attract new blood. And it even has a name, wage inversion.

Just look for another job. You might be able to use an external offer to leverage more pay, but you’d have to decide whether you want to stay with a company that clearly doesn’t value you.

As I'm moving to a new role in a small company, I have a doubt about my salary structure like the Basic salary part is only 20,000 while my take home is 62k after all deductions.

I'm concerned because the leave encashment & other things totally depends on the basic salary.

Are there not any rules for the Basic salary to be at a certain % of CTC or it depends totally on the company?

Also PF deductions they are offering only 1800 p.m but considering 20000 basic it should be 12% of 20000 right?

I have picked the job up really fast and am even doing some “extra curricula’s” I really love my job. However I have recently found out I am being paid the same as an apprentice on my team, I usually do at 3 x the work he does whilst also doing my Cert CII. It has really disheartened me and I feel I should be earning more money

I’ve been a licensed general lines (2-20) insurance agent for year and a half and have sold around 2M in premium, of which most of it is personal lines (homeowners, DP), and some commercial lines business. Even though I’m licensed to write my own business, the sole producer in the company is my boss. I currently make 35k + 15k in commissions (approximately). Is this a normal salary? Or how much should I be making? Appreciate your help

I have family members who are inside claims reps for a large company. The company sends out emails 4 times/day showing who is currently not available for calls. To everyone working in claims in the entire country! It’s been a minute since I worked in claims. And never for this particular company. But is this shaming the new way to manage WFH.? Sounds at least toxic.
