Advice: my firm incentivized associates to get licensed in fed courts - 4 fed courts for a 5k raise. They also covered the admission fee. I just accepted an offer with another firm and will be putting in my 2 weeks notice tomorrow. Is it wrong to submit an expense report for the charges I incurred related to the fed court admission fees? Ex-consultant now in marketing. Used to be an avid follower here and got great insights on companies when trying to exit consulting so thought I’d try here for advice. Outside of FAANG, what are good large CA-based tech companies that provide good pay, WLB, and culture? DD has great people and WLB, but pay is low and you’re not given the tools and resources to succeed + truly make an impact. Google and Apple are ideal but need backups. Like is Salesforce still good? A company along those lines.

Taking my shot in tech sales. Consulting was great experience but enjoyed the relationship and BD aspect more and didn’t see myself climbing to partner. Starting in a junior BD Rep role to learn prospecting and earn quota history. Took a big paycut for the potential future earnings as an Account Exec. Did I dun goof? Probably. But I’ll regret it forever if I didn’t take my chance now when I’m still single and young-ish.

D gave me a retention bonus just big enough to cover my sign-on, it’s like they’re encouraging me to go on a job search 🤣
