Welp, here is something that should depress all of us. Job applicants have at least doubled, which is why it's so hard to find a job. Less job openings for more people. How screwed are we?

How's the job market lately? I'm considering quitting, moving there, then starting my search. Do you think it'd take more than a few months (say, 6 max) to land a good role?

I am looking for a new job at the end of a long career. I have excellent experience in IP and Supply Chain Management. I've been fortunate to be in a high-paying position in the Los Angeles area and I rarely see comparable positions posted. The comparable positions at my company are filled by one of the big executive search firms. Any recommendations for finding the rare executive-level legal positions or for landing on the radar of the big executive search firms would be much appreciated!

I recently graduated with a degree in Finance but feel like I want to work in a tech related role and wish I would’ve gotten a CS degree. I work at a SaaS company built on Salesforce and was wondering if certifications would be enough to be considered? I’m looking at Business Analyst or Product Mgmt

Republicans... in hindsight, do you think it was a political miscalculation to have Pence on the ticket? Seems to me it would have been advantageous to have someone firmly in the Trump camp - like Alex Jones - as his VP to galvanize the base and put more daylight between the Trump ticket and Biden’s mainline political position. Hi, just wondering how the staffing situation has been in strategy consulting in general? My sibling started a job in strategy in Silicon Valley 2 months ago after MBA. She has been on the bench for 2 months and was informed that there has been a shortage of jobs (within the job) and the amount of people on the bench is getting high. She has been under a lot of stress although she had many great networking calls with people. I wanted to help but can't identify what she can improve on.
