What are some challenges that you had to endure this week?

We had 2 staff out sick and another 2 who were traveling for work. We were so short staffed and had to pick up the slack for four people, so it was definitely stressful. Hoping everyone is back in the office tomorrow.

Call offs are the worse! Hope everyone is back tomorrow as well!

For me, it was catching up on work after taking some time off. I had to quickly get up to speed with what happened while I was away and prioritize my tasks

Thank you for the feedback! I also find it difficult to get back on track when on PTO. I usually ask people to give me a day or so so that I can catch up.

Should I leave my first permanent job as a team leader of 4 DPs in a FMCG business (only been there for 4 months) to join a huge Tech business for a 12months contract?

They offer me 60% more money than my permanent role. Circa 2000 dollars every month in my pocket

However, I am worried if I accept the tech role and I do not become permanent I will be looking again for a job in 12-24 months and my CV won't be showing a managerial position. Won't be showing any progress.

My in-laws used to own a jewelry store, and they had this Omega quartz watch in their storage. I can understand why this wasn’t sold during their clearance sale lol. I had no idea Omega made stuff like this in 1987! I guess they couldn’t help it after the rise of quartz watches in the 70s to 80s. I doubt they’re worth anything even to this day. I see them on eBay for $700-1200, so who knows…
