You could get screwed if Uncle D finds out. You signed a contract saying you won't work on the side bud
What im really saying is sure you can make money from that but if someone is really hurting for cash, spending all of their savings might not be the greatest idea. I too have rental properties and i make good money from them. But there could be huge expenses that go along with it.
Babysitting, housesitting, petsitting. I make around $4000 extra a year from one family and only do it like twice a month.
Second D1's concern. I just read our contract again, can't speak for D's. But if you're doing something accounting or tax related then EY considers the money you make firm money, even if they aren't involved. Theory is your trading on their brand by being an EY employee to get the work. I'm a lawyer though so for my situation I think I can pick up document review work part time, etc that uses law license and that wouldn't be a problem. Look for nuance in the contract but def start by reading it.
Rsm i put down 30k and now make 6k profit per year on rental property. Thats a 20% return on my money. I would call that an investment.
Bar tending maybe? I always consider that one
500 a month is easy to get, get rental property
@pwc2 why would someone throw down a huge amount of money in order to make $500/month? Wouldnt they just be better off living off investing it?
