A lot of knowledge on here so asking for some help. It’s my partner’s birthday and I’ve no idea what to buy him. He’s a watch fanatic - Pateks (sports and dress), Audemars (sports and dress), Rolex (sports), Omega (sports).

I’m obviously not buying him a watch for his birthday (in his dreams!) but any idea for some good accessories? He’s already got a PP watch winder, and has bought multiple nice straps for the dress watches. I’m completely lost.

Is it fine to disclose the company which gave me 1st offer to the next potential employer?

Why would a luxury watch brand make/sell connected or smart watches? What is the business reason for it? To me it just kills the brand value. For instance I was a big fan of Montblanc but after I see their smart watch line up I instantly devalued the brand in general. Same for Tag (tag is questionable anyways), or Breitling. What is your opinion on this topic?

Alright this bowl has convinced me I need to buy a Rolex. Where do I begin? I know my brother got a Batman GMT after about a year at a jeweler he never purchased from a few years ago, but was he just lucky? Do I need a relationship with an AD in today’s market for a Sub or GMT? Based in Seattle but would prefer to buy in Oregon to avoid taxes

Went in to check compare sizes for an Aqua Terra (green dial) but now torn between that and Moonwatch Sapphire (manual wind but the case in the back is just 😍)

Surprisingly the Moonwatch felt smaller (even though it’s 42mm vs 41mm Aqua terra) but I’m not sure about the manual wind tbh - worried I’d break it

This is going to be my main watch for the next 20+ years so I want to make sure I pick correctly!
