I think I bombed my final round today. Was taken a bit aback with a pure focus on numbers so took a bit of time solving it and in the end interviewer skipped one part of a chart cos she had to move on to other charts. The qualitative case part went well I think. Disappointed in myself!

Hi recently I gave my interview with Deloitte. I cleared all the rounds and it's been waiting for approval since a month and suddenly the candidate status on job application got changed to Offer. When I reached out to HR about the same they said that all my interview process are completed and still they are pending on approval whether to go for offer.

I am confused anyone can help.?

Do junior lit associate laterals (one to two years experience at a firm plus a clerkship or two) ever not clear conflicts? Is that something to be concerned about? I can see a partner with dozens or hundreds of matters to their name presenting conflict problems, but what of the lowly junior associate/law clerk?

HELP! I’ve been contacted by a small private security firm who wants me to be their “on call” counsel. They describe it as a lot of contract review, drafting NDAs, etc. but also being there if/when they need to license a vehicle, defend civil suit, etc. It’s overwhelming but sounds like a really great opportunity. I have enough background to be comfortable with contracts and litigation, but don’t want to get myself into a mess. Has anybody else ever had a job like this?

Kids and ice. I think it’s super annoying as they want to fumble around in the freezer, play with the ice, and it just makes giving them effing water complicated which I don’t need. I was just offered an RN II position at Stanford Hospital’s B3 unit for $84/hour. Are there any RNs out there who can tell me what it’s like working on the unit and if it’s worth leaving my job for? I love my current job, my schedule and the people. I have no problems with it except that it’s 1.5 hours away from my family and it pays $25/hour less than Stanford.

Also, do you think it’s too late to ask if I can visit the unit before I make my decision? Thanks in advance.
