I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

Here’s how I’d approach it:
Objective: create a sense of belonging for Muslims and non-Muslims personnel
Goal (depends on the budget, considering this is DEI and I’m American where this is the lowest expense on the marketing budget I’m gonna assuming your budget is next to nothing) - Hosting an online event.
Key Results:
- How many ppl show up
- How many ppl engage via audio/video
- How many ppl engage via chat
Steps:
Talk to a few Muslims at each layer of organization and get their take on an online event initiative. Is it the best idea for the resources at your disposal? How long should the event be? What would help them feel ‘seen’? Dos and and don’ts so they feel included. Tell them you’re expecting them to be the ambassadors of the event.
The event would consist of opening, middle and conclusion acts.
Opening:
- Start by
a) welcoming and thanking everyone,
b) short recitation and translation of scripture and
c) someone sharing their take, experience or interpretation of what Ramadan and Eid means to them
d) non Muslim leader saying something meaningful about how much the company care diversity, its ppl or something feel-good.
Middle: Messages that resonate with Muslims and non-Muslims. Help everyone understand how the Muslims contribute to their organization’s success and the cost of not having diverse ppl in the org. Key is make Muslims AND non Muslims feel seen and respected.
Consider:
a) Asking Muslims to identify a community leader who you can pay to come address the crowd.
b) Panel discussion with Muslims, other minorities and the dominant group so they can interact with each other in a non hierarchical way. Ppl can get to know a lil about their personal lives, get professional advice and a lil insight into what Muslims are like.
Conclusion: Should consist of local celebrations and perhaps short discussion about the first 2 acts so ppl can create a sense of belonging locally.
