Is it worth it to accept a long-term sub position when you don't get benefits and you really just want to hold out for a perm position?
I joined a life sciences consulting firm after getting my MHA but now feel like the life sciences space is not for me and want to explore other areas of healthcare consulting. Has anyone gone through something similar and made this switch before? If so, would really appreciate your advice!!
About me: Clinical engineering degree 4 years of bioprocess engineering working with stem cells on bleeding edge research and development. Launching products, patents, collaborations etc. $75k/ year. Health and dental. No profit sharing. No equity.

Infosys hey fishes , kindly help me on this. I had my salary discussion 3 weeks back with infosys HR offered 50% +1.2L joining + pwfh. I have requested for 60% +1.2L joining bonus + pwfh and hr told me She will send for approval to see and she said it might take a week Max to get back. But it's been 3 week I got a call from hiring hr for screenshoot interview. Upon checking my approval for 60% is still waiting to be approved. Any idea what's happening. How long can I wait ?

But it's been 1 week still didn't get any call or email from CG for documents requiment Or confirmation. HR saying that its still under approval.. What does it mean?

Im 5.7yrs - currently working as Software engineer in Fidelity Investments . Working late after 7pm IST not suitable to me. Got an offer with Standard chartered bank with 18.5 inhand and Barclays with 20 inhand. Standard Chartered as Specialist - Product Engineer and Barclays as BA4 Both are mentioned as promotions. My company has ERGs and one of them is pretty large and includes a lot of demographics. Within it, people are starting to kind of form their own subgroups (like based on office location or country-specific ethnicity). Does anyone have any thoughts around what would be appropriate for DEI practitioners to be aware of when serving these populations?
I'm in desperate need of tips to get genuine buy in from our predominantly white, male senior leadership to create a more inclusive environment. As is often the case, middle management and below is very diverse and then at Director+ it gets much more homogeneous. So far any real initiatives get shot down in favor of performative actions to post on SM. Is this just how it is, or can we try something different?
I am the only immigrant with an accent in my office and it’s almost a daily thing now that my bosses/coworkers would explain terms to me that I already know. I’d often freeze when they do that because my first reaction is always confused. How do you talk about it with them after the fact especially when it seems like it’s not a big deal to them?
I am frustrated as a Gay Woman who has given her all for 30+ years grinding to be the best. I have been in closet, out of closet, in-between and am tired of it. I want to be VALUED as a human being. I have gone from Rock Star to problem when people "found out". I have trained and promoted hundreds of people and been passed over for promotions because of not being a man. I have trained men with less experience, worse results only for them to move forward. If Diversity is important...prove it!

Latinx - help! We used this term in our diversity spotlight discussing Hispanic Heritage Month. One individual said that in English a group of Latinos would just be Latins to be gender neutral. I understand the word is controversial but is “Latins” grammatically correct? I assume we should just say Latin Americans, but trying to understand if Latins is also accurate.
I used a tool at my last company that worked tremendously well in helping me resolve conflict with a co-worker and I would love to bring it into my new company - its an Ombuds platform.
Any suggestions on how to make this happen? Has anyone done this before - brought in a tool to your new company that you've used before?

It won't be the last time. This is cynical but if you can stay without compromising your morals I would. Hard to find an employer who actually cares about DEI who will pay what you're probably making now. Sorry you're stuck in this situation
You should do an unofficial coaching session with the CEO (whenever you stop getting ghosted). Asking open-ended questions to see where their thought process is. What does DEI mean to you? What aspects of DEI should be the company's focus in 2023? How can DEI help make the company more successful? I feel like if it's too hard for them to answer then start asking those tough questions. What's the point of a DEI Manager? Is DEI important to you personally? Is DEI ever brought up in Exec/Board meetings? Etc. If it's not important from the top down, then it's an issue.
