Use night mode on your laptop. I use it all the time irrespective of day or night. It’s takes away the blue tint and presents you with a orangish tint. Good for the eyes.
I have a razer smart glasses which comes with polarized and clear lenses. Clear are perfect for long office days.
Do you wear prescription or contact lenses? If you do, you can ask the opthamologist to order a pair. I have a pair I bought online but they were ok. When I told my opthamologist I work at a computer all day, he gave me a pair and added a slight prescription to help with the lenses. Maybe the warehouse optometry might have good deals as I used my insurance to cover. Or you can order the glasses online that carry blue lenses.
If you don't, I think the last person posted a recommendation. Hope this helps!
There is a difference between prescription or non-prescription. Non-prescription my son ordered through zenni and he loves them and hasn't had any issues with them. We had to buy them for his migraine headaches.
Get the $10 UVEX glasses off amazon. They look like safety glasses. Work GREAT. My oven clock is blue I cant even read the numbers with the glasses on because it cuts out 95% of blue light.
Warby Parker has blue blockers... stylish and work well. I went to Ben green fields even in Santa Monica. But they are expensive.
I am using one from BluEye Aware. The pair I got does not come with a prescription (i don't need a prescription). So I have been using them all day when I am in front of a computer, especially at work. It also blocks UV ray so I use it outside sometimes.
True Dark Classics. If they don't have a sports shape, they let light in over the top of the frame and that makes it useless.
I was told that there are no provable health benefits to blue light-blocking lenses/coatings. If you prefer it on computers etc and find it comfortable, go for it.
I have a pair from Zenni that was under $50 for the entire pair (frames, lenses, everything included). They fit perfectly, look better and hold up better than my Warby Parker glasses, or any of the $300 ones from the optometrist. I started looking at online retailers like Zenni, coastal or glassesusa is because the glasses at the eye doctor are so expensive, like $100+ for just the frame alone.
Well, glasses stores will sell you any frames you want and put a prescription-less blue light lens in. I have a pair from Chloe and they were around $300. It was “free” with my insurance as I have a “use it and lose it” policy for glasses and I don’t need a prescription so I used it on blue blockers.
