There’s a correct answer to this: Briggs and Riley baseline. Fits in more OH bins than the international versions (tumi or BR) expands thoroughly. Enough space for 3 climates of clothes if you pick efficiently, and a kickass suit compartment to boot!
Kirkland Signature. On a side note- Don't ask consultants; their #1 concern is looking good. Ask the flight crew; their #1 concern is getting you there safely, plus they fly way more than any of us.
Away sucks. Super gimicky. Go with the classics.
Tumi, Travelpro, Briggs and Riley, Samsonite.
Tumi international expandable
$40 Amazon Basics
2 years in, no complaints about my away. It’s been great
Rimowa.
I just bought the away bag. It seems really sturdy I’m excited to use it next week

TravelPro Crew series is my fav
Samsonite and Delsey. I like to keep it simple and sustainable
Danggggg ya I got the hardshell, I got the dark green one so hopefully it won’t get marked up
I love my away!
Tumi international expandable. Like someone above stated. Quality. I’ve had mine for about a decade. Two wheels
I quite enjoy my Away carry-on, but also just retired a beloved Samsonite.
Love my AWAY. It’s super light and fits a ton, plus they have a free 100 day trial period, so if you don’t like it you can return it no questions asked
B&R baseline as BCG2 said. I have the two wheel version as it has a bit more room than the spinner. Just coming back from a week in Europe and India and it easily handled everything I needed to pack, plus a largish gift from a client that I was not expecting. It’s in the overhead bin now
Rimowa for sure. Best of the best

Rimowa was the right answer, but you gotta get the original aluminum Topas. Buy it in Europe to save 40%
