I got a new Infiniti Q50 at the end of my staff one year and have been getting weird comments since. Only happens when people get in my car for the first time though. After that... they love my car and want me to drive to lunch. We work hard in this job, and we deserve nice things. Get the car you want but be prepared for a couple people to judge you (judgement everyone's favorite hobby in PA).
Get the car and then when people judge you, 1) just don't get it washed and say "oh this thing it's old" or 2) say "my mommy loves me more than yours" or 3) "I bought it with my cpa bonus and every tax refund I've had since I interned"... 4) "you don't see what I don't spend my money on" that's what literally what I say whenever I get called out for my nice things

That's up to you, OP. If it fits in your budget without causing you stress, do it. Staff have nice, new cars because they only have to pay for themselves. Partners have nice, new cars because they can afford it. Everyone else was dumb and got married and had kids to pay for. And their once new staff cars are aging haha.
I drive a luxury car. Anytime any of my superiors (managers and directors) see it they say you guys must be getting paid well. Even my partner saw it he asked how much are we paying you...I was like you pay me you should know
What a waste of money
I'm a staff, I have a civic. I love my civic, and plan to keep driving it until its wheels fall off. I'd rather put spare money into a down payment on a house (or more realistically a small condo), and not have financial stress.
A1 with a custom 2018 Audi Q5 and if people have an issue with it they can get over it. I'm happy to drive us to lunch and carpool with teammates. Cars font define a person.
