Hello Mastercard employees. I have been trying to break into MC for long now.
I have 2 yrs workex post MBA. I have experience in data analysis and consulting. But I don't want to get into consulting anymore. I am looking for analytics roles. Anyone here would be able to DM and guide me on the available options at Mastercard?

I took a Pathmatics demo and it struck me as a potentially sound methodology. We couldn't afford it though
Because of social walled gardens, no service is that accurate. However, Pathmatics has been the closest.
Kantar stinks, unless your brand and its competitors spend a lot. Most of my clients and their competitors show up as spending $0 in Kantar
I agree it is not accurate and overstates some media types and understates others. It isn’t meant to be accurate, it is more for directional thinking (IMO). It is hard to get a true media mix. I also have been using Pathmatics for social. My understanding is although Kantar uses pathmatics, it cuts off the reporting after FB, Twitter and Instagram.
Pathmatics or media radar
What are you looking for? When you say is bad, what’s bad?
Kantar sources their social data from Pathmatics. Adintel used to do the same but it’s now biscience.
What you’re referring to is probably not the data or methodology.
It’s the way data is presented? Alert services? Visualization? Servicing team? What’s lacking?
When someone tells me something is bad, the next question to ask is: what’s bad.
For competitive reporting, you’re not looking for accuracy, you’re looking for consistency. It’s all relative.
If a system consistently overstates or understates ad spend or a given metric, you can still use it for your measurement or models.
i think you have to do both kantar and pathmatics, maybe augment with semrush
Pathmatics
