General thoughts on moving over to the vendor side? Specially for an account manager role. Advantages/disadvantages?

My advice is choose wisely. It can be really eye opening to see behind the curtain at a lot of these startups - tons of smoke and mirrors that make servicing it a nightmare. Just because you like your sales rep/AM at a company doesn’t mean it’s a great company. Go with what you know. Also be prepared to go from getting your ass kissed to having to do all the ass kissing. At the end of the day, it’s more money and fewer hours. So if work is your life you might hate it; if work funds your life outside of work, it’s definitely the right move.
