Well, I think animals are great for lifting the spirits. I don't think you need to have something wrong with you or need a therapist to benefit from having an animal to take care of an interact with. They're reminders of nature, just like plants help improve your mood. I think it would be cool to have an office cat wandering around but I know those can be controversial.

Lmao
We had an animal shelter bring in animals for a fundraising week and it was a hit! I would try that as a quarterly activity and see how everyone feels before committing to it full-time.
Where do we draw the line on "emotional support" we're grown ups get over it or get a therapist. Legitimate service dogs most definitely have their place but when as a society did we degenerate to the point of not being able to do our jobs or get groceries without fluffy the rat dog riding shotgun in a purse or grocery buggy? I guess it's pretty clear where I stand.

It can boost morale. It's amazing what a few minutes sitting with or petting an animal can do for someone who is having a rough day.
As long as it's not walked around (some people may be allergic or have a fear of dogs, etc) and people can go to it, I don't see an issue.
