Hello Deloitte 🐠 20 YOE. Have referral for a content and marketing M role in cybersecurity -- the focus of my career pivot. Submitted my application today, but my referrer isn't in Cyber. Interested to widen my Deloitte Cyber network to get my resume in front of a human, since ATS has no vision or imagination. If you're willing to connect, please DM. if The project is yours….. 100%. It’s difficult to maintain the fire when it’s someone else’s. Especially if overworked and not treated so well. Doors can open for you. I’ve had plenty open for me but definitely that’s not always the case. Just use your judgment. Do you Like the project, will you take away anything valuable? If so, You're already ahead. If thing pan out ok that all bonus.
It’s worth it at the beginning of your career as you’re building the networks- but throughout the years you should be able to decline this work and work paid jobs as you need to pay the bills!
Depends what you’re getting out of it, if you don’t have much for your reel it could be worth doing a project or two but if you’ve already got a good catalogue, there’s not much point in doing it for no pay.
