McKinsey & Company Hey folks!
Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!

Any recommendations for certifications that are good to have?
From my experience, certifications can be a nice way to show you're committed to growing in your career. I took a communication certification a couple of years ago, and it helped me refine how I interact with both colleagues and clients. It wasn’t necessarily required for my job, but I did notice some benefits like being asked to handle more important correspondence.
Certifications can be useful as a way to establish credibility. It's just what they are, they certify that you learned things and you have competency in specific skills or areas of expertise. They're not a guarantee of success, but they establish that you've cleared some hurdles and it may make you more competitive compared to your colleagues.

I think some could be helpful, some I haven't found to. E useful. I got my PACE, but my current employer and prospective employers did not care (most not even knowing what it was). I'm currently getting the CAPM and then PMP and that my employer loves. It would also open up a project management position if I ever wanted to go that path.
