DC or NY depending on the type of work you want to do
DC comms and pr will inherently be skewed political. Public affairs firms are enmeshed with lobbying, public relations are all about advocating a side over another, communications roles are also abound on the Hill or executive departments. etc etc… NY will be much more corporate and industry-focused possibly with a more marketing-heavy, image-washing skew dependent entirely upon the industry you want to go into or if you want to go to a PR/Comms firm.
All depends on the category…NY LA CHI SF DC MIA ATX NAS
Do you think industry makes a difference here too? I feel like if you are wanting to go more CPG marketing Chicago is probably the better choice. But if tech is where you want to go SF is probably the better option. Not to say not being in those markets totally impacts things. but it definitely helps.
