What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.

Rising Star
We’d need more context to give you an actual recommendation or advice…
But blanketed not everything is favoritism or unfair/unequal treatment… everyone has their go to people… those whom they rely on heavily because they get the job done correctly the first time, efficiently and they don’t complain…
If you’re a complainer, then I guess your manager is right for having favorites and demonstrating unfair/unequal behavior…
Rising Star
1) Growing up.
No one promised life would be fair. It’s run by “people”, who by their nature are not infallible (and often jerks).
Sometimes that unfair treatment can rise to the level of illegal discrimination, when you’re being singled out for one of your characteristics (gender, religion, ethnicity, etc.) But managers/coworkers giving preference to their homies is just a fact of life.
2) Learn to play the game. The only way to change a bad system is to rise to the top so you can influence it.
I obviously don't know your situation and there are clearly some really bad managers out there, but sometimes it can look like favoritism but it's really a supervisor relying on people who have demonstrated that they can deliver/ can be relied upon.
Real data analysis. From just a performance viewpoint what is “said” people doing, compared to what is projected, and what could be done.
Document everything and should grounded in a consistent pattern overtime.
I don't really want it to be solved. I've benefited from it at any job I've had. It's a good skill to learn how to be thr favorite.
