Can someone kindly connect me with Investment Banking HR/Recruiter/anyone willing to help? My friend interviewed for Goldman Sachs NY. Cleared the HireVue but didn’t get any communication further. It’s been 4 weeks now. Although the referral came from a VO but the division is different. My friend is looking for Investment Banking division. Need to get in touch with someone from investment banking to push the resume. The rolling process is hurting the chances.Thank you Goldman Sachs

Probably an unpopular opinion but don’t join companies that are not making money ie: Twitter, doordash, Grubhub. They will cut you off no matter the cost cause we’ll they can’t afford the cost lol
We’ll ask the hiring manager what happened with last person in that role ? …u can catch a red flag there
I have to say in my experience you find out just working there to see the headcount rotation
Look on LinkedIn for other people’s tenure there?
You can scan the internet for reviews or Linkedin profiles to see employee tenure. For smaller orgs that might be tough. I feel asking in the interview and seeing the reaction can tell a lot.
Was this position filled previous?
If it is yes and the interviewer seals it up, could have ended on negative terms. If the interviewer expands could be good info. Do not pry too much as it will come off intrusive.
What are you looking for in the candidate for this role?
Could tell you the previous employees negative habits. If something is said like “For us dependability is key.” Could mean previous employee had attendance issues etc…
A great question for any interviewee especially a manager is to ask is:
“What does your turnover rate look like?”
If any interviewer declines to answer or gives a vague answer that would be a flag. Anyone doing the actual interview process has this or should have this info.
Hope this helps!
Deflection that places the focus back on you.
Weakness is not being able to answer the direct question.
Common tactic. Companies in general do not like being asked these questions. Quality interviewers have nothing to hide and can answer in a way that shares clarity but is also reflects pro company values.

I ask what is the average tenure at the company. That made my decision at my last company when I was torn between two offers
What is the track record for the program or project you’d be working on? Meaning, if the position is working on a development program/project often personnel are asked to where multiple hats and be creative in developing processes on how to be successful. The path for success can be uncertain and full of failed attempts. For more tenured and established programs, there are most often processes or status quos that the company relies on and are sometimes against change or improvement suggestions even though it could realize efficiencies.

Ask someone who is currently working there.
