I recently watched Vow of Silence: The Assassination of Annie Mae. It is a documentary series as opposed to a film. But nonetheless I can't stop thinking about all of the dynamics in play.

I watched this when it came out in November. I too haven't been able to get the story out of my head. RIP Annie Mae ♥️
I do love a good documentary. Try Big Charity and Closed for Storm.
Yeah it's a hard watch
I suppose when it comes to influence, I have to look back at the Ken Burns film on the building of the Brooklyn Bridge, which I watched as a kid. It's only an hour long but it really made me appreciate documentary storytelling, and, of course, the bridge itself. Fast forward to now, I have yet to watch the Ken Burns film on Leonardo DaVinci, which came out a month or two ago, but I'm planning to watch it this month (after all the holiday obligations have passed).

Adding them to my list, thank you for the recs! I was born in Brooklyn so I'm eager to watch Ken’s film.
