RGA barely has account people because they make the producers handle most of it. I would say RGA is like
5% GECDs
5% ECDS
10% CDs
15% senior - ACD
10% Junior - mid
20% design and XD
20% producers
15% client services
10% idk math is hard
Hmm R/GA OP... do you really feel that client service & production don't do any of the 'work'? I'd love for you to deal with half the bullshit we need to and then tell me it's not 'work' 🤣
Feels like 1% creative 99% legal/account/finance but I might be off by a couple of percent.
Our office feels like:
15% creative
5% strategy
10% design
10% ux/xd
30% account service
30% production
So many pencil pushers, so few people doing the work.
@Freelance If that’s true, then that’s a solid reason to never go to work for RG/A.
R/GA1 sure, but when you take up 60% of the agency and also the client budgets, the actual output suffers.
I believe accounts and production should be 25% of an agency, maximum.
R/GA OP... you do know that Producers and client service have very different roles right? It's like comparing UX and Creative
I love that you completely excluded tech.
R/GA1... not really following. Project management and budgeting at most agencies falls under the umbrella of client service. For some reason at R/GA we split it into two disciplines. I would take a guess that the reason is increased profits.
RGA2 fair call, my mistake. Shave off a bit in creative and design and add in 5%
Accounts/PMs are at least two to one, compared to any other department here.
Haha no tech? Forgot about us? Pretty sad for a "digital agency "
Good point @RGA2, that can be part of my other 10% and I'm sorry. I also forgot HR and resource management and recruiting 😔. Oh and strategy. I didn't do well. The important part was that there are a ton of creatives and it's very top heavy.
I was referencing op but yeah
Also R/GA OP, what is the difference between UX /XD at your company? The two are synonymous to me
^ that’s why he grouped them.
R/GA was started as a production house. Thus the producers. Client services was introduced pretty late in the game - to cover off on clients that were historically used to seeing them servicing their accounts. Don’t think it is to increase revenue - that business model remains a bit flawed.
Account and production def overlap. So do analytics and strategy
